Founded in May of 2023, Firefolk Arts is an Asian American woman-owned / family-run art space in rural Vermont which amplifies the work of under-recognized artists, by curating diverse, multiculturally affirming events, exhibitions, workshops, pop-up markets, and performances.
We also provide co-working studio space and venue rentals, to cultivate creative collaboration among people of all ages and backgrounds.
Firefolk Arts offers a varied lens on illuminating underrepresented artists and entrepreneurs in rural communities, sharing their art and stories. We utilize conceptual and contemporary art to explore and expose communities to a broad range of lived experiences.
We pass the mic to marginalized artists, with the goal of thwarting gatekeeping and biases in the arts. We redistribute wealth and resources to break down barriers, and support those seeking greater access and representation in the arts and media.
Rooted in values of reciprocity, racial and economic equity, and environmental nurturance, we foster an inclusive space for expressing, creating, and sharing ideas and skills in immersive ways that uplift community-building and expand experiential learning through a solidarity lens.
